Jack Handlin L.Ac, DAOM, FABORM
Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Handlin is a reproductive medicine specialist board certified by the NCCAOM in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Jack specializes in both female and male infertility, gynecology and women's health. He is an experienced acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and oriental reproductive medicine specialist certified as a fellow of ABORM (American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine). This board certification shows continued dedication and experience in the feild of oriental reproductive medicine and the collaboration between Eastern and Western medicine.
Jack is a graduate of Bastyr University where he received a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He completed the doctoral program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), focusing on women's health. His special areas of interest are polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, deminished ovarian reserve, recurrent miscarriage and assisted reproductive technology (ART) therapies in the treatment of infertility.
Jack is dedicated to assisting couples through the process of conception, healthy pregnancy and delivery to postpartum care. He works closely with Western medical practitioners to enhance conception with IVF, IUI, medicated cycles, and other assisted reproductive therapies.
He has continued his studies with other top fertility practitioners such as Jane Lyttleton, L.Ac., author of Treatment of Infertility with Chinese Medicine and Randine Lewis, L.Ac., author of Fertility Cure and The Way of The Fertile Soul, Yaron Seidman the author of Curing Infertility, and the acupuncture obstetrics specialist Debra Betts. To further enhance his understanding of the Western medical view of reproductive disorders and assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments he has continued his education studying from board certified reproductive endocrinologist and OB/GYN doctors Ashim Kumar, M.D., and Richard Buyalos, M.D.
Jack's focus is on treating the whole person, not just the presence of infertility or gynecological imbalances. He treats the underlying constitution with gentle, personalized treatments to restore balance in the body and optimize fertility health. He is committed to continuing education and research to stay current in the areas of reproductive medicine and women's health.
Jack is currently a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Resolve of Washington, American Fertility Association, American Pregnancy Association, and Pacific Coast Society of Reproductive Medicine.
